Former minister Rashid passes away

Veteran freedom fighter and former minister Engineer Abdur Rashid passed away at the BSMMUH in Dhaka yesterday at the age of 68.He left behind his wife, two sons and three daughters, and a large number of admirers to mourn his death. He was elected lawmaker four times from Daudkandi constituency. Health Minister Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain expressed deep shock at the death of Engineer Rashid. The country has lost a veteran politician and social worker at his death, the minister said in a condolence message.
