Justice N K Chakraborty passes away

Justice N K Chakraborty, former law secretary and judge of the High Court, died of cardiac arrest at a clinic in Dhaka on Thursday night at the age of 61.He is survived by one son and two daughters. Leaders of political parties and people from all walks of life paid homage as his body was brought here yesterday. Justice Chakraborty was the under secretary of the law ministry of the provisional government of Bangladesh during the Liberation War, and the law secretary in 1998-99. He was appointed High Court judge in 2000 and retired in 2003.
