Trial of Kibria murder case begins Feb 7

The trial of the former finance minister Shah AMS Kibria murder case will begin on February 7 at Sylhet Speedy Trial Tribunal. Kibria and four others were killed in a grisly grenade attack on an Awami League rally at Boidder Bazar in Habiganj on January 27, 2005. Six chargesheeted accused in the case were shifted to Sylhet prison from Habiganj prison yesterday morning. They are Jamir Ali, Joynal Abedin Jalal, Ayat Ali, Sahed Ali, Tajul Islam and Selim Ahmed. Two other accused in the case--Abdul Qayyum Chowdhury and Joynal Abedin-- are in Sylhet jail. Sources said all the documents of the case have been sent to Sylhet Speedy Trial Tribunal from Habiganj.
