4 shot as drug peddlers clash at Pallabi


At least four people, including three drug peddlers, were injured in a gunfight between two rival groups over sharing of money that came from illegal drug sale in the city's Pallabi area yesterday.

The injured are drug peddlers Nadim, 20, Ibrahim, 24, and Sohel, 20, and pedestrian Saheed, 24.

Police said four drug peddlers--Khalil, Guddu, Ibrahim and Sohel--attacked their rivals Nadim and Ibrahim at Road-12, Lane-2, Block-B of Mirpur-11 in the afternoon, triggering the gunfight.

Ibrahim was admitted to Suhrawardy Hospital while Saheed, Sohel and Nadim to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.
