A total of 600 graduate students in computer science, computer engineering, BBA and MBA will be conferred upon their degrees at the convocation. The Chancellor of the University President Professor Iajuddin Ahmed will confer the degrees. Education Minister Dr M Osman Farruk MP will attend the convocation as the convocation guest.

Former President of Philippines Fidel V Ramos will attend the occasion as the convocation speaker. Vice Chancellors of different universities, renowned academicians, distinguished personalities and foreign dignitaries will also be present at the convocation.

Fidel V Ramos will pass a busy schedule in Dhaka.

During his stay, he will call on the president and the foreign minister. He will attend a series of meetings arranged by the Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce, Philippines Embassy, Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and the Chairman of the University Grants Commission Professor Dr M Asaduzzaman and former president of FBCCI Abdul Awal Mintoo.

He will also attend a press conference in the Philippines Embassy today, visit the Savar National Memorial, hold discussions with eminent business leaders, meet the Filipino citizens in Bangladesh and talk to the media. He will leave Dhaka for Manila on February 8.
