3 new envoys appointed, one gets extension

The government yesterday appointed three new ambassadors and extended the contract of another one.ATM Nazmullah Chowdhury has been appointed Bangladesh ambassador to United Arab Emirates. He was given a two-year contract. Maj Gen AIM Mostafa Reza Nur, principal staff officer, Armed Forces Division, has been made ambassador to Kuwait on a two-year contract. He is replacing former BNP office secretary and Sramik Dal President Nazrul Islam Khan. Salma Khan has been made ambassador to Indonesia on a two-year contract. Her earlier posting as a member of the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women was cancelled. Besides, Ambassador to Morocco Md Al Harun's contract has been extended by another year.
