ATM Nazmullah Chowdhury has been appointed Bangladesh ambassador to United Arab Emirates. He was given a two-year contract.

Maj Gen AIM Mostafa Reza Nur, principal staff officer, Armed Forces Division, has been made ambassador to Kuwait on a two-year contract. He is replacing former BNP office secretary and Sramik Dal President Nazrul Islam Khan.

Salma Khan has been made ambassador to Indonesia on a two-year contract. Her earlier posting as a member of the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women was cancelled.

Besides, Ambassador to Morocco Md Al Harun's contract has been extended by another year.
