Thailand halts FTA talks with US

Thailand has suspended free trade talks with the United States until a new government takes office after snap elections set for April 2, officials said Thursday. "We have officially informed Washington that the FTA (free trade agreement) talks would be suspended during the change of the government," Foreign Ministry spokesman Sihasak Phuangketkeow told AFP.
