Two other players named by the newspaper on Friday as being held for questioning in a match-fixing scandal were Dutchman Quido Lanzaat and Australian international Paul Agostino.

The 21-year-old midfielder Schweinsteiger said the accusations were not true and has decided to take the TZ to court over their controversial report.

Both Bayern and the German national team have backed Schweinsteiger saying he would never bet on rigged matches.
