Expat donates Tk 5 lakh to Birdem
Masudul Haque, a Bangladeshi expatriate chemical engineer in Britain, has donated Tk 5 lakh for sponsoring a bed in Birdem Hospital, says a press release.The bed named after his father Alhajj Shamsul Haque Moktar will be reserved for the poor patients at free of charge. Masudul handed the amount to the General Secretary of Bangladesh Diabetic Samity Prof A K Azad at a simple function at Birdem in the city on Monday.
