BTV is the vision of Bangladesh but in real perspective it is the representative of powers that be and other governmental agencies. This sounds odd though, over the years a plain truth has emerged to me: the programmes of BTV depends on the ruling party's likes and dislikes. The BTV projects the two most prominent political personalities in our history according to the position of the two major political parties. The ruling party decides how a particular leader would be projected and what would be the fate of others. So it is totally dominated by politics. As such, it can never become a truly popular television channel.
