Bomb Threat
Security beefed up in Khulna

Security measures have been stepped up in Khulna metropolitan city following threats of bomb attacks by Islamic militants on key installations on the occasion of Independence Day on March 26.

Members of Rapid Action Battalion and the police department have launched combing operations separately in all 31 wards of the city to arrest criminals who are mostly bombers and bomb-makers.

Several check posts have been set up at different entrance and exit points. Suspected persons and vehicles, residential hotels and private hostels are being checked thoroughly.
