Mubarak powers SL A


Jehan Mubarak led from the front as the opening day of the first four-day match belonged to Sri Lanka A yesterday. The visitors reached 304-4 at stumps against Bangladesh A at BKSP.

The hosts did not capitalise on a good start by the bowlers as left-handed Mubarak smashed 140 in his four-hour stay that contained sixteen fours and a six. He shared a 174 runs fourth wicket stand with Warnapura, who is also batting on a hundred himself.

For the hosts, Baisya, Nazmul, Enamul Jr. and Riyadh picked up one wicket each.
