One killed in road accident

One person was killed and six others were injured in a road accident on Chandpur-Comilla road at Shuapara area under Shahrasti upazila yesterday. The dead was identified as Abdul Karim, 30, hailed from Jessore, said Shahrasti police. The accident occurred at around 7:30 in the morning when driver of the Ramganj-bound truck from Benapole overloaded with bulls suddenly lost control over steering. The truck fell tuned turtle and fell into a roadside ditch leaving Karim and five cows dead on the spot. The injured five people were rushed to the local health complex.
