Ronaldinho hails Jogo Bonito

Ronaldinho says there is no danger of him resting on his laurels as he concentrates on winning the two biggest prizes in football, the Champions League and World Cup.

"I never lose the motivation," the Barcelona forward told Reuters in an interview. "I have been lucky enough to have won lots of titles with my teams and at an individual level at quite a young age.

"Now that I know just how nice it is to win those things once, the motivation comes from wanting to win everything lots of times, to do it again and keep on winning."

The ever-smiling, frizzy-haired Brazilian, who turned 26 this week, is the undisputed king of world football at the moment.

Ronaldinho says he is delighted to be playing for the two sides seen as the leading exponents of what the Brazilians like to call "jogo bonito" (beautiful game). He this shows off in an advert for sponsors Nike to be released shortly.

"Every team has a style of its own and ours at Barcelona really suits us right now. It's a jogo bonito style, very attacking, always trying to score goals.

"There are other types of football that can get you results but ours is a style that people like to see. I really enjoy playing at Barcelona.

"As for Brazil, every country has its own way of playing and ours has always been like this. Our style is an attacking style, with players who tend to be characterised by dribbling skills.

"We have a level of technique that sets us apart from other countries and I think we have excellent players."

Ronaldinho is also conscious, however, that Brazil do not have a divine right to win football's greatest competition.

"I don't think you can talk about favourites," he says. "I think you have to go out every game and play your best football, demonstrate with each match that you can win and play well."

Ronaldinho says one of his main aims at this year's World Cup will be to help an out-of-sorts Ronaldo recover his top form and become the player of the tournament like four years ago.

"I have the greatest of confidence in him (Ronaldo). I think people have to respect him for everything he has done for Real Madrid, for the national team and for world football.

"As a teammate I will help him as much as I can so that he can be the man of the World Cup once again, just as he was in 2002."

As for Brazil's rivals, Ronaldinho singles out hosts Germany, the team his side beat in the 2002 final.

"I think playing at home gives you that little extra motivation, so Germany will be strong. They have the fans on their side and that always means that it is harder for the teams they play against."

Before the June date in Germany, Ronaldinho is hoping that he will have been able to complete a dream domestic season by winning both the Spanish title and the Champions League with Barcelona.

"I think our chances are very good. We're playing very well, with a lot of confidence and we hope the team can go a long way."

Despite speculation that Chelsea are interested in prising him away from Catalunya he insists he has no intention of moving in the foreseeable future.

"My future is Barcelona, it's here. Today, I'm not thinking of anything that's not Barcelona. I don't lack anything here. I have all that I could wish for and the club have made a great effort to make sure I am happy. I am extremely happy here."
