Milan suffer triple injury

AC Milan's preparations for Wednesday's Champions League semifinal return at Barcelona suffered a blow with three players picking up injuries in the first half of their Serie A match at Messina.

Brazilian Kaka and Italy defender Alessandro Nesta were both substituted with injuries and then midfielder Massimo Ambrosini, who had replaced Kaka, also had to go off in the 28th minute of Saturday's match.

Milan were already without striker Filippo Inzaghi who has been struggling to recover from a virus which kept him out of the 1-0 first-leg defeat at the San Siro.

It was not immediately clear how serious any of the three injuries were.
