Acting on a tip-off, the law enforcers arrested Masud, 15, son of Nurul Islam from Mirpur 2, and Sohel Rana alias Rajib, 15, son of Amir Ali from Sheorapara, after a 36-hour raid in Fatullah area of Narayanganj, Senpara, Kazipara and Sheorapara areas of Mirpur.

Later, the police also arrested Jahan, 16, son of Abdul Kader from Sheorapara.

The police also recovered some of the looted valuables while capturing the three.

Class VII student Jahan, in association with his friends Masud and Sohel, slit throats of his classmates Kazi Naimul Islam Badhon, Wadidul Kabir Tonmoy and Kazi Nibrush Nilav and looted valuables from Badhon's house.

The victims were not acquainted with Jahan's friends.

The boys used to hang out at Tonmoy's and Badhon's flats while their parents were at work.
