Agrani Bank in Bogra looted

Robbers looted around Tk 2.5 lakh in cash, a gun and 11 bullets, as there was no security guard on duty at night at Agrani Bank Damaziny Branch on Wednesday night under Shajahanpur Upazila in the district. Police arrested four people for their alleged involvement with the robbery. Police and the bank officials said that unidentified criminals entered the bank breaking the main gate and broke open the volt to loot the cash. The looted single barrel 12-bore gun and bullets were for use by the daytime security personnel of the bank. The looters also ransacked some furniture and the manager's room. A bank official informed that the bank did not employ any night guard for the branch.
