The central character Azhar Khan is religious and not concerned with worldly issues. He maintains good relationship with the people in his village. Because of his disinterest in the material world, his family endures constant struggle with poverty. However, Daria Bibi, Khan's wife still manages to make do.

The series directed by Mithu Biswas includes an impressive cast with Ilias Kanchan, Aruna Biswas, Zahid Hasan, Tushar Khan, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Barsha, Mithila and others.
