Bangladesh U-17 team again became runners-up in the Golden Hope International Challenge Cricket when they lost to Sri Lanka by four wickets in the final in Malaysia on Saturday.

Batting first, the junior Tigers were bundled out for a paltry total of 120 in 38 overs.

Vice-captain Nadimuddin Mintu was the most successful Bangladeshi batsman scoring 50.

Sri Lanka, in reply, reached home scoring 124 for six in 32 overs to lift the crown for the second time.

Bangladesh's Mintu received the man of the tournament award and Rummon was adjudged the best bowler, according to a message received in Dhaka.

Bangladesh had also lost to Sri Lanka in the final of the first edition last year.
