Wenger rules out Saviola switch
Afp, London
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger on Monday insisted he would not be signing Argentina striker Javier Saviola.Wenger was reported to be preparing a deal to bring Saviola, who played for his country at this summer's World Cup, to the Emirates Stadium from Barcelona. Saviola's agent had claimed his player would be happy to move to the English Premiership club, but Wenger believes he has enough strikers already. Wenger, who admitted he was interested in signing West Brom's highly-rated young defender Curtis Davies, told Arsenal's website: "We are not interested in Saviola at all. We have enough forward players. "We have bought Tomas Rosicky. We also have Thierry Henry, Jose Antonio Reyes, Robin Van Persie, Emmanuel Adebayor, Theo Walcott, Nicklas Bendtner, Jeremie Aliadiere and Arturo Lupoli. "Where do I put the strikers? I have no interest at all in another one. Curtis Davies I like. I have not made an inquiry or a bid but I like the player."
