Train service disrupted for 11 hours

Train communication from Dhaka and Chittagong to North Bengal through Mymensingh was disrupted for 11 hours due to derailment of two compartments of a goods train at Putiali between Bigonebari and Bidyaganj railway stations at Sadar Upazila at 11:00pm on Sunday night.Hundreds of passengers of eight trains from Dhaka and Chittagong to North Bengal suffered a lot due to derailment at various stations. Railway sources said a relief train recovered the derailed compartments of Tarakandi-bound freight train in Jamalpur from Mymensingh after a hectic effort of three hours from 7:00am yesterday. The train service resumed at 10:00am and the communication started.
