Star City

May you rest in eternal peace
She was young, bubbly, enthusiastic, sincere and above all always wore a dazzling smile. Her vivaciousness and loud laughter always made her presence known in the office. Her charm was so infectious that it spread a beam of radiance from her cherubic face.

Novera Deepita was never scared of challenges. Her ambition to shine in the field of journalism never faded. She willingly got caught in the torrent of competition and never failed to deliver the articles on time.

Novera married Harun-ur-Rashid, a sub-editor in The Daily Star, two years back after a whirlwind romance. But she continued in her endeavour to emerge as one of the most bright and dependable reporters of the new generation.

Ever since she joined Star City, the young girl cheerful as ever, contributed to the newspaper with the best of her ability and soon became an integral part of the section. She was reliable, keen to learn and she made her presence felt.

Novera, the void you left will never be filled and we will surely miss you. Our sympathies go out to the loved ones you left behind -- your husband, mother, father, brothers, relatives and friends.

For now, all we can say is: "Good bye, sweet princess, may the angels in heaven rock you to your sleep".
