The SKOP leaders took the decision on suspension at a meeting at its office on Wednesday as Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal pulled out of the 24-hour strike and blockade programme of the SKOP held on July 31.

Presided over by Md Nurul Islam, the meeting discussed the issue of Sramik Dal's withdrawal from the programme and sought explanation from the organisation.

Such a move by the Sramik Dal has undermined the united labour movement, the leaders observed.

SKOP leaders Shafiqur Rahman Majumdar, Abdul Matin Master, Abdul Kader Hawlader, Dr Wajedul Islam Khan, Mujibur Rahman Bhuiyan, Roy Ramesh Chandra, Abul Kashem Chowdhury, Abdul Mukit Khan and Shah Mohammad Abu Zafar were present at the meeting.
