Forge united movement to get rid of misrule
Dr Kamal tells students

Gono Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain yesterday urged the students to forge a united movement once again to make the country free from misrule, corruption and terrorism.

Addressing Jatiya Chhatra Dhara Representative Conference 2006 in the city, he said the country's democracy seems to be a hostage to ill politics, black money and arms.

Dr Kamal requested the students to resist those people who want to form a corrupt and autocratic government to stay in power.

Recalling the glorious history of student movements in 1952, 1969 and 1990, the eminent jurist said it is the students, who played pioneering role in every crisis of the country.

"The country is not a possession of any person, any group or any political party, this is a country of people of all beliefs," said Dr Kamal.

He said an evil force that was defeated in 1971, is conducting repression on Ahmadiyah people in the name of religion.

Dr Kamal told the students to be aware of those people who violate human rights and create anarchy in the country.

Presided over by Chhatra Dhara President Monjur Ahmed, the conference was also addressed by acting General Secretary of Gono Forum Engineer Abul Kashem, Organising Secretary Mostafa Mohsin Montu, Habibur Rahman Bhuiyan, father of slain Buet student Sabekunnahar Sony, and Central General Secretary of Chhatra Dhara Jakinur Rahman Pikul.
