3 factors key to convince voters: Moudud


Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Moudud Ahmed yesterday said three factors -- commitment for peace, development and Islamic values -- would appear as the key consideration for voters in the next general elections.

"The voters will decide the fate of the contending political parties considering in the hands of which party peace, development and Islamic values will be more secured," an official press release quoted him as telling a discussion organised by Dr Abdul Matin-led Jatiya Party at National Press Club auditorium here.

Prof Dr Emajuddin Ahmed, Senior Assistant Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Muhammad Quamruzzaman, Islamic Oikya Jote Senior Vice Chairman Maulana Muhiuddin Khan, journalist Gias Kamal Chowdhury and Bangladesh Jatiya Party Secretary General A B M Golam Mostafa also addressed the discussion.

Bangladesh Jatiya Party Chairman Dr Abdul Matin presided over the function.
