F'ganj power past Victoria

Farashganj Sporting Club continued their winning run as they registered their second successive victory in the Green Delta Insurance First Division Hockey League when they beat Victoria Sporting Club 3-0 at the Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium yesterday.The winners led the first-half by a single goal as Arafat opened the account in the 32nd minute by converting a penalty corner. Apart from Arafat, Faisal Hossain and Sheikh Sumon Ali scored a goal apiece. Faisal doubled the margin in the 54th minute with a field goal while Sumon scored five minutes before the final whistle. In the day's other match, Mukta Bihanga Tarun Sangha played out a 1-1 draw with Shishu Kishore Sangha. Mafizur Rahman put Mukta Bihanga ahead in the 32nd minute while Jahangir Alam scored the equaliser for Shishu Kishore Sangha in the 47th minute.
