EU mission on polls due Sept 11

A six-member exploratory mission of the European Union (EU) will arrive in Dhaka on September 11 to gather basic information on the next general elections in Bangladesh.During their 10-day stay, the members of the EU mission will exchange views with the leaders of political parties, the chief election commissioner, civil Society members and senior journalists. A EU official told the news agency that the European Union would take the decision about sending election observers to Bangladesh on the basis of the report of the exploratory mission.
