Technical college teachers observe hunger strike
Bangladesh Technical College Teachers' Association (BTCTA) observed a hunger strike at Muktangan in the city yesterday to press their 12-point demand and the eight-point demand of National Front of Teachers and Employees (NFTE), says a press release.

Their demands include a separate pay scale, greater allocation for technical education and eliminating discrimination between general education and technical education in the country.

Different professional groups expressed solidarity with the programme.

They ended their hunger strike with juice offered by NFTE President Principal Kazi Faruk Ahmed and Member Secretary of Peshajeebi Samannaya Parishad Dr Kamrul Hasan Khan.
