Heinz signs for St Etienne

Former Czech international striker Marek Heinz will sign a three year deal with Saint Etienne, the French first division side said Tuesday. The 29-year-old Heinz, who has already passed a medical, will join on a free transfer having been without a club since being released by Turkish side Galatasaray. Heinz is expected to fight for his place in the team as he is not yet fully match fit. He formerly played for Sigma Olomouc in his native Czech Republic and also at SV Hamburg and Borussia Monchengladbach in Germany.
