Re-examining SSC Answer Scripts
16 failed students pass, 13 improve grades in Barisal

Sixteen failed SSC examinees under Barisal Education Board (BEB) have passed while 6 of them achieved GPA-5 and GPA-4 after re-examination of their answer scripts. Results of 13 others were also upgraded after the re-examination. BEB sources said 768 SSC examinees applied to re-examine their answer scripts by depositing re-examination fees within a month of the declaration of their SSC results in June 2006. Declared results of those 29 examinees have been changed after re-examination of the examination papers. Prof Mohiuddin Ahmed and Pearuddin Ahmed, chairman and controller of the examinations of BEB said board authorities ordered to take actions against the examiners responsible and head examiners for their negligence in scrutinising the examination papers. However, they failed to answer the question of the admission of the students concerned since admission date for HSC in different colleges has already been over.
