Keppel wins billion-dollar contract in Qatar

A unit of Singapore's Keppel Corp. has won a one-billion US dollar contract to build a waste management facility in the Gulf emirate of Qatar, the company said. Keppel Integrated Engineering (KIE), the environmental technology and engineering arm of Keppel Corp., received notification of the tender award by the Qatar government, Keppel said in a statement issued late Monday.
