Wari Club became the Green Delta Insurance First Division Hockey League champions with one match to spare when they edged Farashganj Sporting Club 1-0 at the Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium yesterday.Goutam Kumar Das scored the match-winner in the 34th minute from a penalty corner. The triumph guaranteed Wari Club's return to the Premier League next season. After 11 games, Wari pushed their collection to 27 points while Farashganj remained at 21 points. In the day's other match, Bachelors Sporting Club outplayed Dhaka Wanderers 4-1 to move to second place with 23 points.
