Eto'o faces lengthy layoff

Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o is facing up to three months on the sidelines after sustaining a bad knee injury in the Champions League game against Werder Bremen on Wednesday.The Cameroon international was taken off in the 65th minute of the match in Germany being replaced by Argentinian Lionel Messa who score the equaliser for the Spanish champions in a 1-1 draw. Last season's top scorer in Spain will notably miss the Champions League clash with Chelsea on October 31 as well as the first of the season's Spanish league showdowns with arch-rivals Real Madrid at the Bernabeu Stadium on October 22.
