Prothom Alo appoints 9 female journos
The daily Prothom Alo appointed nine women journalists of the first batch of Salma Sobhan Journalism Fellowship on October 1.

The appointed journalists will work as district correspondents of Prothom Alo in different districts including Sylhet, Kurigram, Panchagarh, Gaibandha, Natore, Rangpur and Lalmonirhat.

Prothom Alo organised a daylong training programme at its office for the newly appointed journalists on September 28.

Prothom Alo Editor Matiur Rahman, Assistant Editors Shumona Sharmin and Zahid Reza Nur, and Assistant News Editor Shahed Ali spoke on the occasion.

A total of 32 women from different districts took part in the first batch of Salma Sobhan Journalism Fellowship in 2004 jointly organised by Prothom Alo, Brac, and Protichi Trust.
