The victim was identified as Hadatullah, 35, son of Ali Hossain of Shaktola village in Choura union in Chouddagram upazila.

Police said they recovered the body of Hadatullah from near the Jogonathdhigee pond yesterday morning. The body bore several marks of stab injuries and the limbs were broken. He was also shot in his abdomen.

Police said previous enmity or political feud might lead to his killing.

Family members said Hadatuallh was abducted from his furniture shop at Duskora on Wednesday evening.

A case was filed aganist Chouddagram Shibir activities.
