70 Jamaat, Shibir men sued in Comilla

A case was filed against 70 activists of Jamaat and its student wing Chhatra Shibir with Chauddagram Police Station on Thursday in connection with the killing of Jubo League worker Hedayetullah. Police said the victim's brother-in-law filed the case against the Jamaat and Shibir activists, including the younger brother of Jamaat lawmaker Dr Syed Abdullah M Taher. Meanwhile, local people declared Dr Taher unwanted in the area. Hedayetullah, 35, of Shaktola village was kidnapped and beaten to death while he was returning home from Dhorkora Bazar in Chauddagram upazila Wednesday night.
