'Ensure security of people'

Shushashoner Janney Nagorik (Shujan) and Bangladesh Manobadhikar Samonnoy Parishad (BMSP) formed a human chain in the city yesterday with a call to ensure security of the people during this critical situation and make the country free from corruption and discrimination.They urged all political parties to exercise restraint to tackle the critical situation. They also called on the president to select the chief adviser of the caretaker government immediately in order to resolve the current political deadlock. The human chain was formed at Green Road in the city. President of BMSP AHM Noman moderated the programme while Swapan Saha of Shujon, Dr Nuruddin of Bapa, Osman Gani, Advocate Shamsuddin, Dilip Kumar Sarkar, Babul Kumar Odhikari of Dorp and Khaledur Rahman Shaheen spoke. Representatives from Sheba, Shampriti and TSP also took part in the programme. BMSP, Shujon and Nagorik Uddog will take out a peace procession from Asad Gate at 11:00am today.
