Iajuddin's comment on form of govt unpardonable
Says B Chowdhury

Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) President Prof AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury yesterday said President/Chief Adviser Iajuddin Ahmed's comment about the present form of government is unpardonable.

"Don't make this kind of mistake again, or else people will not show mercy on you," he added.

Former president Badruddoza was addressing a gathering yesterday at a community centre in the city where a number of people came to join the newly formed party.

Badruddoza claimed the chief adviser has created distance between himself and the advisers by saying that presidential form of government is prevailing in the country.

He also claimed that the president/chief adviser is doing his tasks like a doll in a puppet show.

"You were not like the way you are behaving now," he said adding, "Still there is time to prove yourself neutral and save the country form a serious situation."

Badruddoza, however, urged the chief adviser to act neutrally and take all necessary steps.

Advocate Akhter Hossain Majumder, assistant private secretary (APS) to the immediate past prime minister, was among hundreds of others who joined LDP yesterday.
