BCB announces national pool


Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced a 16-member national pool for the upcoming Dhaka Senior Division Cricket Leagues yesterday.

BCB's selection committee led by Faruque Ahmed considered only those players who have been in the playing eleven for the national team during the last six months (01 May 2006 30 October 2006) in the pool.

The pool player are Habibul Bashar, Shahriar Nafees, Mohammad Ashraful, Aftab Ahmed, Sakib Al Hasan, Forhad Reza, Mohammad Rafique, Mashrafee Bin Mortuza, Abdur Razzak, Syed Rasel, Rajin Saleh, Mehrab Hossain, Tushar Imran, Alok Kapali, Javed Omar and Shahadat Hossain.

The selectors however didn't consider two wicket keepers Khaled Mashud and Mushfiqur Rahim in the list.

Each Premier and First Division teams will be allowed to register a maximum of three pool players.

The three-day inter-club players' transfer will begin on December 5. The most coveted domestic competition is schedule to kick off from December 24 but before that the participating clubs will play a Twnety20 tournament.
