Osasuna fined over 'lighter' incident

Osasuna have been fined 3,000 euros (3,847 dollars) by the Spanish Football Federation after Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas was hit on the head by a lighter thrown from the crowd during Sunday's Primera Liga match.

The fine was accompanied by a warning that a re-occurrence could lead to the closure of the stadium for at least one game.

Casillas had gone to collect the ball from behind the goal in the 43rd minute on Sunday when the lighter was thrown from the stand at the Reyno de Navarra stadium.

The goalkeeper was able to continue and Real went on to win the game 4-1 with Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy scoring all four of Real's goals.
