'Withdraw ban on politics on CU campus'

Bangladesh Chhatra Union (BCU), Chittagong University (CU) unit, here yesterday demanded withdrawal of a ban on political activities without prior permission on the campus.The BCU leaders placed the demand at a meeting with the CU authorities held at Proctor Office yesterday noon. They also demanded allocation of seats in the CU dormitories according to merits and withdrawal of false cases against BCU and Pragotishil Chhatra Jote leaders. CU Proctor Prof Dr Didarul Alam Chowdhury, BCU CU unit President Kamrul Islam, General Secretary Monti Boishnab and Vice President Amzad Hossain were present. Exams postponed
Chittagong University (CU) authorities postponed all the scheduled examinations of different departments and institutes for indefinite period. The authorities took the decision at an emergency syndicate meeting yesterday.
