Charmonai Pir passes away

Pir of Charmonai Maulana Syed Mohammad Fazlul Karim passed away at his home at Charmonai village in Sadar Upazila yesterday at the age of 71.He was also the chairman of Islami Shashontantra Andolon. He left behind his wife, seven sons, a daughter and thousands of disciples to mourn his death. His namaz-e-janaza will be held on Charmonai Madrasa ground at 10:00am today. UNB adds: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina have expressed deep shock at the death of Charmonai Pir. In separate condolence messages, they prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
