Three container trailers fined

A mobile court in separate drives here yesterday fined three container trailers, two cargo vessels and three commercial centres and realised around Tk 2 lakh against different allegations.Sources said the court led by Chittagong Port Authority Magistrate Md Munir Chowdhury in a drive fined two cargo vessels Tk 1 lakh for loading goods beyond the capacity. In two other drives, the court fined Woodland Diagnostic Centre and Rupali Canteen for digging deep tube-wells illegally and fined them Tk 60 thousand. Three long container trailers were fined Tk 30 thousand for illegal perking at Saltgola Rail Crossing causing traffic jam. The court also fined a chartered accountant (CA) firm BB Nath & Co Tk 3000 for wasting Wasa water.
