RMG workers block highway for salary

Hundreds of agitating workers staged a demonstration and blocked Kaliyakaur-Nabinagar highway for an hour demanding arrears and salaries.Workers of Oriental Wool Ware in Gazipur laid a siege to the factory at around 8:30am yesterday protesting non-payment of salary for November after sudden closure of the factory on December 1. The workers agreed to stop their demonstration after the factory owners had assured them to pay the arrears and bonus of Eid-ul-Azha by December 17.
