Sumon first enrolled as a pro

Mosabbir Ahmed Sumon became the historic first footballer to be registered as a professional in the country yesterday.The defender who signed for Arambagh to play in the inaugural Professional Football League from Premiership side Badda Jagarani, was registered at the Bangladesh Football Federation in the afternoon after the first six days of the two-month transfer went without a single registration. His contract is for one year.
