Ilias Khokon, 40, a distributor, received bullet injuries on his right leg, when a gang of four extortionists called him out from his house at Katherpur in Sutrapur around 8:30am and shot him in front of his house.

He was first admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and later shifted to a private clinic.

Victim's son said extortionists might have carried out the incident for tolls.
