The meeting was held at Workers' Party's (WP) office in the city with Gono Azadi League President Hazi Abdus Samad in the chair. 11-Party Convener Bimal Biswas, Gono Forum leader Pankaj Bhattachariya, Haider Akbar Khan Rono and Dilip Barua also spoke at the meeting.

They called upon the people to make today's 14-party rally and January 7 to 8 blockade programmes a success.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Jubo Maitri, youth front of WP, leaders in a statement hailed the 14-party decision to boycott the upcoming elections.
