Attack on Pirojpur journo condemned

Different organisations yesterday condemned the attack on Pirojpur Correspondent of the daily Inqilab and Baishakhi TV Zahirul Haque Titu by BNP-Jamaat cadres on December 28.In different statements Pirojpur District Lawyers' Association, Pirojpur Press Club (PPC) and Awami League (AL) condemned the attack and demanded immediate arrest and punishment to the culprits responsible. BNP-Jamaat cadres foiled a human chain on that day, formed by PPC and attacked several journalists, leaving Titu severely injured. He is now undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. None has been arrested yet in this regard although PPC filed a case against 19 local BNP-Jamaat cadres.
