Schoolgirl found dead in Satkhira

A schoolgirl was found dead in a beel of Nakipur village in Shyamnagar upazila yesterday noon.Police said Tumpa, student of class-VIII and daughter of Abdus Sabur, went out for school on Thursday and since then she was missing. Local farmers found the body floating in the beel and informed police. Tumpa might have been killed after rape, police said. Five people -- Shamser Ali, 50, Akbar Ali, 40, Wadud Gazi, 45, Atiar, 42 and Kashem Gazi - were arrested in this connection.
