Antique idol worth Tk 15cr found

Workers found an antique idol of lord Vishnu worth about Tk 15 crore while digging up a land at South Betka in Munshiganj yesterday.The 51-inch idol made of black stone weighs about 150 kilograms. The idol was found when the workers were digging up the land of Mohammad Ali bepari at noon. As the news spread, thousands of people rushed to the scene to have a glimpse of the idol. Later, the idol was handed over to Tongibari police.
